This course covers essential skills for Skilled Migrants to better approach and succeed in the Australian employment market, focusing on English language usage in many settings. It augments existing core services delivered by SECC’s Skilled Migrant Mentor Program and is recommended for those less confident and comfortable with Australian English language usage, interpretation and nuance in professional settings.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to: understand Australian interview formats, expectations, and cultural norms; apply the STAR + learning framework to behavioural and strategic interview questions; demonstrate transferable skills, leadership, and impact from overseas experience; respond effectively to challenging interview questions; develop a personalised interview preparation and improvement plan.
