The National Skills Agreement is an agreement between the Australian, State and Territory Governments, working in partnership to ensure that the national vocational education and training (VET) system provides high-quality, responsive and accessible education and training to boost productivity, deliver national priorities and support Australians to obtain the skills and capabilities they need to obtain well-paid, secure jobs. It specifically targets priority groups that require additional support to improve their foundation skills.
• An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, Refugee or Humanitarian visa holder, Asylum Seeker
• Aged 15 years or over
• No longer enrolled in secondary school (homeschool exception)
• Living or working in NSW
• Have a USI
• A person assessed as ACSF Level 3 or below; or DLSF Level 1 or below
You will be required to complete an initial ACSF/DLSF assessment to see if you qualify.
Documentary evidence will be required to prove your eligibility as Sydney East Community College is required to check eligibility, obtain evidence and retain it as proof that you are entitled to have your training subsidised under the NSA Foundation Skills Program.
