Develop and improve job interview skills and strategies by: understanding Australian interview formats; building skills to effectively communicate achievements and capabilities; learning how to respond to challenging interview questions.
This course covers essential skills for Skilled Migrants to better approach and succeed in the Australian employment market, focusing on English language usage in many settings. It augments existing core services delivered by SECC’s Skilled Migrant Mentor Program and is recommended for those less confident and comfortable with Australian English language usage, interpretation and nuance in professional settings.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to: understand Australian interview formats, expectations, and cultural norms; apply the STAR + learning framework to behavioural and strategic interview questions; demonstrate transferable skills, leadership, and impact from overseas experience; respond effectively to challenging interview questions; develop a personalised interview preparation and improvement plan.
This interactive two session course will build skills and confidence with job interview style and technique. Learn how to clearly and concisely articulate achievements and capabilities to prospective employers.
